Thank you from the Trust to our supporters

This project has strong support from the local horticulture industry. Zespri, NZKGI, Priority One and the Ministry of Primary Industries have supported the College programme development since the beginning of 2018.

Significant funding towards the building of the new Horticulture Centre has been contributed by a number of horticultural industry leaders and local businesses and organisations including Zespri, NZKGI, Kings Seeds, DMS Progrowers, DMS Charitable Trust, Acorn Foundation, Bay of Plenty Treecroppers, Birchwood Packhouse, Apata Growers, Avoco, EastPack, Western Orchards, Wainui Orchards, Ann Owen, Avoco, NZ Fruitgrowers Trust, Southern Cross Horticulture, MG Trust, Trinity Lands, Baygold, WBOPDC, Harrison Trust, Coles Trust, Grassroots, Katikati Fruitgrowers, Just Avocados, Cook-Connelly family, Katikati Lions, Noble Partnership, Jopie Heuseveldt (late), Trevelyans and Ballance Agrinutrients

We would also like to acknowledge anonymous donations and the many smaller donations from private individuals and family trusts, mostly through GiveALittle.

Katikati College has contributed over $120,000 in staff-release costs. AGMARDT and the Ministry of Primary Industries have also made a significant contribution to operational costs.

The project also has the active support of the Labour Education and Workforce Caucus Committee, the Western Bay of Plenty District Council Mayor, Horticulture New Zealand’s Horticulture Capability Group, local and regional National and Labour MPs, the University of Waikato and Pou Arahi.
